During this course you will have the opportunity to get behind the barriers and your hands on some tongs! 

We begin with decoration of work in the studio, to build understanding of different finishes: oxidation glazes, reduction glazes, horsehair, feathers, and obvara.

You will have the opportunity to load and - if you desire - light the kiln. After the firing is finished, you will unload your work and have the opportunity to try different finishing techniques.

Pots for decoration will be supplied by the studio, if you wish to bring your own pots please do, and we can offer you a discount.
Price includes lunch made in the studio cafe.

Minimum age 18, experience of pottery or raku events desirable.
