6 week handbuilding + membership access

Service Description

This course is for people who wish to develop their handbuilding skills under expert tuition with the additional benefit of six week's 4 hour a week membership for extra practice time. The course will progress through the techniques of pinching, coiling, slab work and using moulds. In later weeks you will learn to apply slips, oxides and glazes. You will also learn how to use the slab roller and extruder effectively. This course is suitable for beginner and intermediate potters. If you have a particular project you would like to pursue, our teachers can help guide you through it. Taught time is 7-9pm. Membership studio access is Tues-Fri 10-5pm, Sat&Sun 10-2pm. Each participant is allotted a 10L firing allowance alongside their month of membership. Pots are glazed by staff for you after the course has finished.
