Service Description

Join our technician Lucy Blackley to learn the beginners ins & outs of mould making. In the first session (Saturday May 3rd 11-4pm) you will learn how to create your own two part mould from your own found object. This day will also have a demo on how to use a two part mould for slip casting and slab building. In the second session (Sunday May 4th 11-1pm) you will learn how to create your own one part mould. This day will also have a demo on how to use a one part mould for slip casting and slab building. There will be the necessary theory dotted between practical, hands on learning; where one part and multiple part moulds will be used. You will get experience using equipment and materials not typically used in the CUP studio. This course is perfect for those wanting to expand their knowledge and experiences of the potting world, and for those wanting to begin their slip casting learning journey. DATE AND TIME: Saturday May 3rd 11-4pm and Sunday May4th 11-1pm Price includes a single piece of cast work fired and your own two moulds to take home and use!
